About Roohullah
Roohullah Gulzari is the Manager, Ilm Exchange at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP). Ilm Exchange is a digital education platform that connects schools, teachers, and students with affordable resources to enable quality teaching and learning across Pakistan. Previously, Roohullah was affiliated with Alif Ailaan (DFID funded) as a campaigner to build social and political capital for public sector education reform initiatives in Pakistan. In the last 6 years, Roohullah has extensively worked on program and research projects/studies related to education governance and leadership, distance learning solutions, higher education in the context of growing populism, and the political-economy of low-cost private schools. He has been involved in conducting and facilitating qualitative and quantitative data analysis, randomized evaluations, and field research, as well as coordination related to baseline surveys and evidence-based program interventions. Roohullah holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the School of Public Policy at Central European University, Budapest, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.
